In reference to our discussions on agenda setting I found a very interesting that talks about how old media like newspapers and magazines are actually influencing new media channels like Twitter and their agenda setting.  Article t The article gives the example and data to support that the NYT has actually influenced what people are talking about on Twitter and what make headlines. As stories are published, they gain more attention online. So there is an interesting dichotomy between both old and new media that is a kinda symbiotic relationship in a way. The old media gets people's attention and new media gets the story circulation faster and more efficiently which benefits both parties. Maybe old media isn't dead after all.

Hey everyone! It has been a little while since I have last updated my blog but I am back and ready to dive in some interesting topics! Have you ever heard of bitcoin? I can remember there being a little buzz about it a few years ago but I was never really sure what it was, I'm still not sure what exactly it is but I think it is basically an untraceable digital currency. Bitcoin stock has been soaring lately and it is making people loads of money! I'm always bummed when I hear about no name stock or unheard of stock in the past becoming a huge success because I'm like "dang it, why didn't I think of that?" Ughh.. oh well!
